Fort Bend County MUDs 23 & 24 – Spring Event Recap

Jun 17, 2022

The Board of Directors for Fort Bend Municipal Utility Districts No. 23 and 24 (FBCMUD 23 & 24) had a spring event on May 21, 2022.

At this event, residents were invited to bring documents for professional shredding and removal, and ewaste (computers, old printers, etc.) for disposal. Many residents lined up for a contactless and socially distanced, safe handoff of their old documents and ewaste for destruction.

Inside the M. R. Massey building, residents were further able to speak with representatives of Best Trash the waste collection consultant for the Districts. Best Trash was not only able to organize and coordinate the exterior vendors handling the document shredding and ewaste but were also inside answering questions about trash service for residents.

Municipal District Services (MDS), the operations consultant for the Districts, was also present inside the Massey building for answering questions about water service and conservation, as well as demonstrating smart meters and adoption of the EyeOnWater app. Many residents were able to sign up for the mobile app with the assistance of the MDS representative present, Calvin Browne.

The Districts consider the event a huge success, and will be hosting another event on October 8th, 2022. Interested residents should prepare to bring their unwanted documents and ewaste that morning to the Massey building, and take time to come in and have some light refreshments while learning more about the consultants and systems that serve the community.
