Heavy Trash Guidelines

HEAVY TRASH is collected both service days, Wednesday and Saturday! Please read the guidelines below.

APPLIANCES: Best Trash will collect up to 2 large items each service day. We accept mattresses, box springs, washer and dryers, couches, love seats, recliners, empty water heaters, stoves, microwaves, toilets, and TV’s. If an item is not listed, please email customerservice@besttrashtexas.com.

REFRIGERATORS and FREEZERS: By Federal Law, refrigerators, freezers and any other items containing FREON must be drained of FREON and have an accompany bill to validate such service was performed. Once this is completed, we can collect either Wednesday or Saturday.

YARD WASTE: Trees, shrubs, brush trimmings must be no larger than 4 inches in diameter, no longer than 4 feet long, tied and bundled not exceeding 40 pounds per tied bundle. The tied bundles is required to allow quick pick up and size limitations are required to avoid damaging the equipment in the compacting process. Leaves and grass may be bagged not heavier than 40 lbs. per bag. The limit is up to 10 tied bundles or up to 10 bags of leaves or grass per service day, and it is recommended but not required to space out the tied bundles for quick and efficient collection. Please note: if a contractor does the service, Best Trash will not be able to collect the yard waste.

FENCING: Fencing must not be longer than 4 feet long, tied and bundled not exceeding 40 pounds per tied bundle. The nails must be removed or bent down for safety reasons. The tied bundles is required to allow quick pick up and size limitations are required to avoid damaging the equipment in the compacting process. The limit is up to 10 tied bundles per service day, and it is recommended but not required to space out the tied bundles for quick and efficient collection. Please note: if a contractor does the service, Best Trash will not be able to collect the fencing.

CARPET and FLOORING: Carpet and Flooring is limited to 1 (ONE) room. Please ensure that the pieces are not longer than 4 feet and tied and bundled not heavier than 40 pounds. The limit is up to 10 tied bundles per collection day. It is recommended but not required to space the bundles for quick and efficient collection. Please note: if a contractor does the service, Best Trash will not be able to collect any of the carpet or flooring.

NOT ACCEPTED: Items excluded from normal collection are dirt, rocks, bricks, tile, concrete, tires, batteries, motor oil, cooking oil, waste generated by a private contractor, or any materials or items deemed hazardous materials. Please do not dispose of gasoline, motor oil, paints, cooking oil, or any other liquid items in a container that are not visible to Best Trash personnel. If such items result in spillage that causes a stain, Best Trash is not responsible for the cleanup. Best Trash will leave a tag explaining the reason for any non-collected item(s).

OIL: Cooking oil and Motor oil are not accepted. If you have some cooking oil to dispose of, you may purchase kitty litter or oil dry to soak up the liquid and then dispose of it safely in the trash. Auto Parts stores will accept used motor oil so please check with your local auto parts store. You may also dispose of oil at the Fort Bend Recycle Center for Household Waste, please contact 281-633-7581 for more information.

PAINT: Wet Paint is not accepted. If you have some paint to dispose of, you may purchase kitty litter or a paint kit at Home Depot soak up the liquid and then dispose of it safely in the trash. Once the paint is dried, you may place the paint can at the curb with the lid off to show the crew it is safe to collect. You may also dispose of paint at the Fort Bend Recycle Center for Household Waste, please contact 281-633-7581 for more information.
